Motherboard

The Motherboard should be one of the first peripherals you should look at when buying or building a computer.

This device is screwed into place inside the Computer Case. Most peripherals within the Computer Case will connect to the Motherboard in some way, Graphics Card, Power Supply, RAM, Sound Card, Hard Disk Drives (Via Cables) etc.

The Motherboard is made up of circuits, computer chips, diods and much more. The Motherboard will send information to and from all the the different peripherals connected to it and manages all computation traffic.

Some Motherboards come with onboard features. Some come with an onboard Sound Card, Graphics Card, Network Card etc. Sometimes more than one feature can be on the same board.

It is always advisable to seek advice before buying a Motherboard.
